WWII US Army 97th Field Artillery Battalion DI

This is a World War II distinctive insignia for the United States 97th Field Artillery Battalion. The DI is a gold and red crest with its two halves separated by a jagged line. There is a cannon in the lower half and a scroll at the bottom that reads ME SEMPER ARCESSUNT (they always send me).

Circa World War II.

Approximately 15/16" in height 1-1/16" in width.

Plated brass with enamel.

Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.

The DI you receive will either be this one or one in very similar condition.
