WWII US Army 53rd Field Artillery Battalion DI

This is a World War II distinctive insignia for the United States 53rd Field Artillery Battalion. The DI shows a some angular mountaintops with a phoenix-like bird above and reads SEMPER DEFENDE (always defend).

Circa World War II.

Approximately 1-3/16" in height 1" in width.

Plated brass with enamel.

Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch (swivel part is missing).

None.

6+ (Fine-Very Fine): The DI has some small spots of light wear and the swivel part of the catch is missing.

As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
