This is a World War II distinctive insignia for the United States 687th Field Artillery Battalion. The DI is a multi-colored crest and reads CHI DURA VINCE (he who endures overcomes).
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/8" in height 1-1/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Copper-plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:N. S. MEYER INC. NEW YORK with raised maker's mark.
