Description
This is a World War II distinctive insignia for the United States 97th Field Artillery Battalion by A.H. Dondero. The DI is a gold and red crest with its two halves separated by a jagged line. There is a cannon in the lower half and a scroll at the bottom that reads ME SEMPER ARCESSUNT (they always send me).
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 15/16" in height x 1-1/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with come-under locking catch.
MARKINGS:A.H. DONDERO WASHINGTON D.C.

CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): The DI shows light wear and some very small spots of oxidation.
