This is a 1930s distinctive insignia for the United States 97th Field Artillery Battalion by A.H. Dondero. The DI is a gold and red crest with its two halves separated by a jagged line. There is a cannon in the lower half and a scroll at the bottom that reads ME SEMPER ARCESSUNT (they always send me).
VINTAGE:Circa 1930s.
SIZE:Approximately 15/16" in height 1-1/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Single screw post with disc backing.
MARKINGS:A.H. DONDERO WASHINGTON D.C.

CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The DI shows some very small spots of light wear.
