WWII US Army 18th Field Artillery Battalion DI by Meyer

This is a World War II distinctive insignia for the United States 18th Field Artillery Regiment by Meyer. The DI is a crest bearing diagonal bends from the arms of Champagne, along with a fish hook and a star in the upper left-hand corner.

Circa World War II.

Approximately 1-1/16" in height 7/8" in width.

Plated brass with enamel.

Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch (swivel part is missing).

N.S. MEYER INC. NEW YORK, engraved shield maker mark.

6 (Fine+): The DI has some light wear and tarnish and one very small piece of enamel is missing; swivel part of catch is missing.
