Description
This is a World War II distinctive insignia for the United States 18th Field Artillery Regiment by Meyer. The DI is a crest bearing diagonal bends from the arms of Champagne, along with a fish hook and a star in the upper left-hand corner.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/16" in height 7/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch (swivel part is missing).
MARKINGS:N.S. MEYER INC. NEW YORK, engraved shield maker mark.

CONDITION:6 (Fine+): The DI has some light wear and tarnish and one very small piece of enamel is missing; swivel part of catch is missing.
