This is a World War II distinctive insignia for the United States 107th Field Artillery Regiment. The DI is a crest with a blue saltire bearing eight stars, along with a castle, a rattlesnake, a fleur-de-lis and a battle-axe. The DI reads GETTYSBURG TO THE MARNE.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 1-3/16" in height 1-3/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:None.

CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): The DI has some light wear, a medium tarnish and some slight oxidation on its reverse only.
