WWII US Army 169th Infantry Regiment DI by Gemsco

This is a World War II distinctive insignia for the United States Army 169th Infantry Regiment by Gemsco. The DI shows two diagonal blue banners separating a fleur-de-lis from a prickly pear cactus. At the DI's top is a lion passant, and the DI reads ARMIS STANT LEGIS (laws are maintained by force of arms).

Circa World War II.

Approximately 1-1/8" in height and 7/8" in width.

Plated brass with enameled areas.

Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
