This is a distinctive insignia for the United States Army 148th Infantry Regiment by Gemsco. The DI is a shield with two fleur-de-lis separated from a lion rampant by a wavy red banner, and at its top are seventeen arrows bound by a sprig of buckeye. The DI reads WE'LL DO IT.
VINTAGE:Circa 1950s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/4" in height and 13/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:GEMSCO NY.

CONDITION:8 (Excellent-): The DI shows only some light wear and tarnish; all enamel is intact.
