Description
This is a World War II distinctive insignia for the United States Army 135th Infantry Regiment. The DI is a crest bearing a fleur-de-lis, a clover, two crossed bolo knives and a figure 8 (the 135th was part of the 8th Army Corps during the Spanish-American War). The DI reads TO THE LAST MAN on a banner along the bottom.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 1-3/16" in height and 1" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enameled areas.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:None.

CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): The DI shows some very small areas of moderate wear and tarnish and some minor discoloration along one edge; all enamel is intact.
