This is a World War II distinctive insignia by Meyer for the United States Army 160th Infantry Regiment. The DI is a crest bordered in gold enamel representing the California shoreline, and a pair of angel's wings signify the regiment's original home: Los Angeles.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/8" in height and 15/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enameled areas.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:N.S. MEYER INC. NEW YORK.

CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): The DI shows some small abrasions to the enamel, which is all intact.
