This is a World War II United States Army distinctive insignia for the 9th Infantry Regiment by Meyer. The DI shows an Imperial five-toed Chinese dragon all around the border of a number nine and reads KEEP UP THE FIRE.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/16" in height and 15/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Two posts.
MARKINGS:N.S. MEYER NEW YORK with maker mark.

CONDITION:8 (Excellent-): The DI shows very light wear only.
