Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a sterling distinctive insignia for the United States Army 7th Infantry Regiment by Meyer. This insignia reads VOLENS ET POTENS (Willing and Able) and shows five white bars and a rope design encircled by a blue banner.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-1/4" in height and 1-1/4" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Gilt sterling silver with enamel.

ATTACHMENT:

Horizontal pin with come-under locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS:

N.S. MEYER INC. NEW YORK N.Y STERLING.
