This is a sterling distinctive insignia for the United States Army 7th Infantry Regiment by Meyer. This insignia reads VOLENS ET POTENS (Willing and Able) and shows five white bars and a rope design encircled by a blue banner.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/4" in height and 1-1/4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gilt sterling silver with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:N.S. MEYER INC. NEW YORK N.Y STERLING.
