This is an Italian-made distinctive insignia for the United States Army 169th Infantry Regiment. The DI is a red, white and blue crest showing a lion at top and reading ARMIS STANT LEGES (laws are maintained by force of arms).
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:5/8" height and 1/2" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical safety-style pin with saddle.

CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent-): DI has light wear and moderate tarnish.
