This is a souvenir ribbon for the launching of the USS Sailfish from the Portsmouth Naval Ship Yard. This ship was originally the USS Squalus SS-192, launched from Portsmouth Naval Ship Yard on September 14th, 193It was sunk off Rye, NH and the raised on May 24-25, 1939 when 33 were rescued. The ship was then decommissioned that November and recommissioned as the USS Sailfish on May 15th, 1940..
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 5-3/8 in height and 2-3/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Printed white silk.

CONDITION:8 (Excellent-): The ribbon has minimal wear and fraying.
