WWII Submarine Launch Souvenir Ribbon for the USS Sailfish (SS-192)

This is a souvenir ribbon for the launching of the USS Sailfish from the Portsmouth Naval Ship Yard. This ship was originally the USS Squalus SS-192, launched from Portsmouth Naval Ship Yard on September 14th, 193It was sunk off Rye, NH and the raised on May 24-25, 1939 when 33 were rescued. The ship was then decommissioned that November and recommissioned as the USS Sailfish on May 15th, 1940..

Circa World War II.

Approximately 5-3/8 in height and 2-3/16" in width.

Printed white silk.
