This is a souvenir ribbon for the launching of the USS Trutta (SS-421) from the Portsmouth Naval Ship Yard. The Trutta was launched on August 18, 1944 and served the United States Navy for 28 years. In 1972 she was assumed by the Turkish Navy.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 5-1/4" in height and 2-1/4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Printed navy silk.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a United States Navy collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. LFJX3/11 SFJX4/11
CONDITION:8 (Excellent-): The ribbon has minimal wear with very light fraying at the bottom.
