WWII Submarine Launch Ribbon for the USS Remora (SS-487)

This is a souvenir ribbon for the launching of the USS Remora (SS-487) from the Portsmouth Naval Ship Yard. The Remora was launched on July 12, 1945, and spent most of her 28 year career in the United States Navy in Pacific waters. In 1973 she became part of Greece's Navy and was renamed Katsonis.

Circa World War II.

Approximately 5-1/2" in height and 2-1/4" in width.

Printed grey silk.

8 (Excellent-): The ribbon has minimal wear with one very small frayed area on one edge.
