This is a souvenir ribbon for the launching of the USS Pintado (SS-387) from the Portsmouth Naval Ship Yard. The Pintado was launched on September 15, 1943 and ran six World War II patrols. Her conning tower has been preserved and can be seen in a Texas museum.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 5-7/8" in height and 2-1/4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Printed green silk.

CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The ribbon has minimal fraying at its top and virtually no other wear.
