This is a World War II launch ribbon for the USS Piper SS-409, which departed from Portsmouth Naval Ship Yard on June 26, 194The ship received four battle stars for her service during three World War II war patrols.

SIZE:Approximately 2-1/4 in width and 5-1/4" in length.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Printed silk.
