ARTIFACT:

This is a souvenir ribbon for the launching of the USS Pollack (SS-180) from the Portsmouth Naval Ship Yard on September 15, 193The Pollack received ten battle stars for World War II service. There are two typos on the ribbon: the launch date is listed as the 13th and the ship's name is spelled as Pollock".

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 5-7/16" in height and 2-1/4" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Printed green silk.

CONDITION:

9 (Excellent-Near Mint): The ribbon has very minor storage wear.
