This is a souvenir ribbon for the launching of the USS Pollack (SS-180) from the Portsmouth Naval Ship Yard on September 15, 193The Pollack received ten battle stars for World War II service. There are two typos on the ribbon: the launch date is listed as the 13th and the ship's name is spelled as Pollock".
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 5-7/16" in height and 2-1/4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Printed green silk.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a United States Navy collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. LFJX3/11 SEJX05/20
CONDITION:9 (Excellent-Near Mint): The ribbon has very minor storage wear.
