ARTIFACT:

This is a World War II Japanese Order of the Sacred Treasure 8th Class in Original Case.

VINTAGE:

World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately Medal is about 1-5/16" in width by 3" in height; stud is about 1/2" in diameter. Box: 3-3/4" length x 2-3/8" in width x 1" in height.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Silver with silk ribbon. Lacquered wooden box, and Silk liner.

ATTACHMENT:

Hook with "U" hasp; suspension ring; lapel stud.

MARKINGS:

勲八等瑞宝章 (on the box) with Old Japanese Chracters: Order of the Sacred Treasure, 8th Class

勲功旌章 (back of the Medal): Full Order of Merit
