ARTIFACT: This is a World War II Japanese Order of the Sacred Treasure 8th Class medal hanging from a pale green and golden ribbon with matching lapel stud showing a golden "Y". The honor is awarded for longtime faithful service and was established in 1888.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Medal is about 1-5/16" in width by 3" in height; stud is about 1/2" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Silver with silk ribbon.

ATTACHMENT: Hook with"U" hasp; suspension ring; lapel stud.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a Japanese collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. ebay VAEX08 LFJX10/08

CONDITION: 6+ (Fine-Very Fine): Medal has moderate wear and tarnishing and the ribbon has several small spots of discoloration.
