WWII British War Relief Society (BWRS) Bookmark for Donations

This is a World War II British War Relief Society (BWRS) donation bookmark with a blue tassel. In 1941, the umbrella organization BWRS was created to coordinate the efforts of the many grassroots groups in the United States already in existence providing aid for the British people. The bookmark shows a crest reading DIEU ET MON DROIT (God and my right), Great Britain's motto, and a heraldic lion. Just below where the tassel is attached is a thumbs-up sign.

Circa World War II.

Approximately 4-12" in height and 1-1/4" in width (tassel is 4-1/2" in length).

Enameled brass.
