This is a beautiful example of a World War II Australian-made United States Army Air Forces 36th Photo Reconnaissance squadron insignia flight jacket patch of the 5th Air Force. The patch shows a man in a red and white striped outfit surveying the horizon.
VINTAGE:
Circa 1943-1944.
SIZE:
Approx. 5" in diameter.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Heavy silk embroidery on wool.
ATTACHMENT:
To be sewn onto a garment.
