This is a World War II Australian-made jacket patch for the United States 26th Photo Reconnaissance Squadron, 6th Photo Reconnaissance Group, 5th Air Force. Patch is round in cadet blue and shows a hawk with wings spread soaring over the word "HAWKEYES".
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:4-5/8" diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Felt wool patch with silk and cotton embroidery and a treated cotton backing.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a WWII US Air Force jacket patch collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. TRBEJX09 TrFGE9/12
CONDITION:8+ (Excellent): Patch has very little wear and very minimal spot of discoloration.
