ARTIFACT: This is a very rare early World War II one year of service pin for PAA Africa (also known as PAA Ferries). Roosevelt and Churchill approached Pan Am to form a subsidiary that would have outposts in Africa, and the venture became instrumental in supplying Allied troops in Egypt and Sudan. The pin is in sterling silver and is in a clutchback style.

VINTAGE: Circa early World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 5/8" in width and 7/16" in height.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Sterling silver, enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Single post with clutchback.

MARKINGS: STERL.

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): The pin shows only some light wear.
