This is a very rare early World War II one year of service pin for PAA Africa (also known as PAA Ferries). Roosevelt and Churchill approached Pan Am to form a subsidiary that would have outposts in Africa, and the venture became instrumental in supplying Allied troops in Egypt and Sudan. The pin is in sterling silver and is in a clutchback style.
VINTAGE:Circa early World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 5/8" in width and 7/16" in height.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Sterling silver, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Single post with clutchback.
