ARTIFACT:

This is a Rare Numbered Early World War II Pan America Africa (also known as PAA Ferries) Shoulder Strap Badge #700. Roosevelt and Churchill approached Pan Am to form a subsidiary that would have outposts in Africa, and the venture became instrumental in supplying Allied troops in Egypt and Sudan. The pin is gold-filled and is numbered on reverse.

VINTAGE:

World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately: 1/2" in height and 1-1/8" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Gold-filled.

ATTACHMENT:

Horizontal pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS:
