ARTIFACT: This is a rare circa early World War II PAA Ferries Inc. wing for the extremely rare rank of probationary pilot. This corporation was set up to ferry aircraft to the British via the Southern Atlantic Ferry Route prior to US involvement in the war, and before. PAA Ferries also operated during the early stages before the Air Corps Ferrying Command (and later the AAF Air Transport Command) could handle the task overtly, or completely.

VINTAGE: Circa early World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 7/8" in height and 2-3/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold-filled, enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: 1/10 10K (gold-filled).

ITEM NOTES: This is from an airlines collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MAEJJX13 LBFGEX8/13 SBJJJX10/14

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The wing shows some light wear and some minor tarnish; all enamel is intact; some small spots of oxidation.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
