This is a beautiful circa late 1930s or early 1940s variant Royal Air Force pilot wing set up for wear upon a tropical uniform. The wing is in embroidered wool and the RAF at the center is wreathed by brown laurels. It was possibly made in either India or Burma.
VINTAGE:Circa late 1930s or early 1940s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-5/8" in height and 4-11/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Wool embroidered in cotton/silk thread, burlap backing.
ATTACHMENT:Snaps.
MARKINGS:None.
