Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a nice circa late 1930s or World War II Royal Air Force (RAF) pilot wing with snaps on reverse for wear on a tropical uniform. The wing was possibly made in India or Burma. The wreath beneath the letters "RAF" is done in brown embroidery.

VINTAGE:

Circa late 1930s-World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-11/16" in height and 4-3/4" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Wool embroidered in silk/cotton threads, cloth backing, metal snaps.

ATTACHMENT:

Three snaps.
