Description
This is an uncommon World War II distinctive insignia for the United States Army Air Forces West Coast Air Corps Training Center by LeVelle. The center was located in Santa Ana, California, and used only from 1940 to 194The DI has three golden winged horses at its center and reads PREPARE FOR VICTORY.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/8" in height and 1" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gilt sterling silver, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:LeVelle & (Co.) PHILA., PA WASH., D.C. STERLING.
