ARTIFACT: This is a World War II United States Army Air Forces Hamilton Field photo ID badge. Hamilton Field, located at Novato, California, was a main hub for West Coast air training. Originally designated as a bomber base, Hamilton became a fighter base in 1940, later becoming part of the Western Defense Command in early 1942. The badge is by Metal Arts Company of Rochester, New York.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 1-3/4" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass, clear celluloid, photograph.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with drop-in locking swivel catch, clip.

MARKINGS: METAL ARTS CO., ROCH. N.Y.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army Air Forces ID badge collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAJX13 LFEX9/13 SFEX10/31/19

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The badge has some light to medium wear and tarnish.
