WWII Morton Air Academy Lapel Pin from Gary Field in Blythe, CA Primary USAAF Training School

Beautiful WWII Morton Air Academy lapel pin from Gary Field in Blythe, California. Morton Air Academy was a primary flight training school for the United Army Air Forces. The lapel pin depicts the surface of a globe in gilt brass and enamel details, the globe shows the North American continent, Central America, and Canada. A red banner across the center reads: "MORTON AIR ACADEMY" and is flanked by aircraft embellishments and the top of the pin shows an eagle landing.

Circa WWII.

Approximately 7/8" in width x 3/4" in height.

Enameled and plated sterling silver.

Vertical pin with drop in locking catch.
