Beautiful WWII Morton Air Academy lapel pin from Gary Field in Blythe, California. Morton Air Academy was a primary flight training school for the United Army Air Forces. The lapel pin depicts the surface of a globe in gilt brass and enamel details, the globe shows the North American continent, Central America, and Canada. A red banner across the center reads: "MORTON AIR ACADEMY" and is flanked by aircraft embellishments and the top of the pin shows an eagle landing.
VINTAGE:Circa WWII.
SIZE:Approximately 7/8" in width x 3/4" in height.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Enameled and plated sterling silver.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with drop in locking catch.
