ARTIFACT:
This is a 1930s - World War II United States Army Air Forces lapel pin from Cochran Field in Macon, Georgia. The field was established at the beginning of the United States' involvement in World War II and named for Lieutenant Robert J. Cochran, an 8th Air Force member who died serving his country during World War I. The pin reads ARMY AIR CORPS COCHRAN FIELD and shows a star flanked by wings.

Circa 1930s - World War II.
SIZE:
5/16" height and 1" width.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Gold-plated bronze with enamel details.
ATTACHMENT:
Horizontal pin with drop-in swivel catch.
