ARTIFACT: This is a World War II United States Army Air Forces P-38 fighter aircraft lapel pin. Lockheed introduced the P-38 in 1941, and it prevailed as the only fighter produced in the States from the end of 1941 through the end of the war. The pin is the likeness of a P-38 flying at an angle.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 7/16" in height and 3/4" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold-plated brass.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: N/A.
