ARTIFACT: This is a 1930's to World War II United States Air Force celluloid button for Mitchel Field, Long Island in New York. The pin reads ARMY MITCHEL FIELD PROTECTS US EMERGENCY RELIEF and is a light purple color from some fading.

VINTAGE: Circa 1930's to World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 1" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Celluloid-wrapped tin.

ATTACHMENT: Straight pin.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army Air Forces collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VEX11 LDEX8/11 SeVFEX05/19

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): The button has some light to medium wear and fading and moderate rust on its reverse only.
