This is a scarce United States Army Air Forces patch for Mitchel Field, Long Island in New York. This patch is embroidered on twill and shows a winged star at its center.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 2-7/8" in height and 2-5/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Twill embroidered in cotton/silk threads with mesh backing.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a United States Army Air Forces collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VCJX10 LADEX2/11 SACGX2/11
CONDITION:7 (Very Fine): The patch has some spots of light to medium wear and some small spots of rust on its reverse.
