This is a World War II distinctive insignia for the United States Army 309th Field Artillery Battalion in plated sterling silver. The badge is a crest enameled in a rich red, bearing a golden windmill, lightning bolt and fleur-de-lis. The badge reads OUR UTMOST ALWAYS.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/16" in height and 15/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-plated sterling silver with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:STERLING.
