ARTIFACT: This is a sterling DI by Dondero for the United States Army Air Force 46th Bomb Group, 8th Air Force. The DI is a crest with a royal blue diagonal band and reads CUSTOS LIBERTATE (Guardians of Liberty).

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: 1" height and 1-1/16" width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Sterling silver with enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: WASH. D.C. A.H. DONDERO INC. STERLING.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army Air Forces collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. TRBJX08 LAFEX10/10

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): This DI has spots of light to medium abrasion and tarnish.
