This is a sterling DI by Dondero for the United States Army Air Force 46th Bomb Group, 8th Air Force. The DI is a crest with a royal blue diagonal band and reads CUSTOS LIBERTATE (Guardians of Liberty).
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:1" height and 1-1/16" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Sterling silver with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:WASH. D.C. A.H. DONDERO INC. STERLING.
