ARTIFACT: This is a squadron patch for the United States Army Air Forces 790th Bomb Squadron, 467th Bomb Group, 8th Air Force. This squadron flew B-24 aircraft and was stationed at Rackheath Airfield, England from March 11, 1944 to June 12, 1945. The patch is oval and shows a man slinging missiles from a basket as if they were loaves of bread.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: 5-7/16" height and 4" width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Felt embroidered in multi-colored cotton/silk threads with treated cotton backing.

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): Patch has one small spot of light discoloration and moderate wear along the edge.
