This is a distinctive insignia in sterling silver for the New York State Guard 8th Regiment. The DI is a royal blue crest showing three light blue stars, two stripes and a logo of the interlocking letters NYG.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II era.
SIZE:1-1/16" height and 15/16" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical safety pin.
MARKINGS:STERLING.
