This is a 1930s American Airlines stewardess wing 6th issue by Balfour, given to employees with less than five years' seniority. The wing shows a bird with spread wings above the globe and reads AA.
VINTAGE:Circa 1930s.
SIZE:About 9/16" height and 2-3/16" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Sterling silver with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:STERLING and BALFOUR (readable in the shadow of the pin and just below on either side).

CONDITION:6+ (Fine-Very Fine): The wing shows heavy tarnish and some wear but enamel area is intact.
