This is an early 1950s sterling silver TWA stewardess wing 1st issue type 2 by Balfour. The wing shows an aircraft but no longer has the arrow of the earlier design, and the back is solid with no indentations.
VINTAGE:Circa early 1950s - 1950-1955.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/4" in height and 2-3/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Sterling silver.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:LGB STERLING.
ITEM NOTES:This is from an airlines collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAEJ00 LDGEX11/10 SDGEX2/13
CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent): Wing shows some light wear and tarnish.
