This is a beautiful and rare circa early 1950s captain wing from Trans World Airlines, which began in 1930 when Transcontinental Air Transport merged with Western Air Express. The gold-filled wing is by Balfour, with a Native American man's head in profile at center and fine detailing on the feathers.
VINTAGE:Circa early 1950s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-5/16" in height and 3-3/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-filled.
ATTACHMENT:Two screw posts with disc backing (one backing is absent).
MARKINGS:LGB (Balfour) mark, 1/20 10K GF.
