ARTIFACT:
Rare WWII United States Army Air Forces 23rd Fighter Group Distinctive Insignia (DI) Type 23-A-5. The smaller size DI shows the Group's emblem, a winged tiger with a lightning bolt behind it and a darker blue background. Slight variations in this type make for endless variety.

Circa WWII

Approximately 15/16" x 1-1/16"

CONDITION:
7+ (Very Fine+): The DI shows mild to moderate wear, a couple of small sections of enamel in the tail are lost (does not detract), overall very fine condition.
