ARTIFACT:
This is a rare unit history of the United States Army Air Forces 352nd Fighter Group ("352nd Fighter GroupÉ Second to None"). Constituted in 1942, the 352nd amassed a great volume of decorations and produced a high percentage of aces. The group flew Thunderbolts and Mustangs on several missions, most notably a win against the Luftwaffe in Belgium on January 1, 1945. Each of the three fighter squadrons belonging to the 352nd - the 328th, 486th and 487th, along with the 444th Air Squadron Group - has a page in the book with great graphics. The back cover is a dedication to the men of the 352nd who were either killed or lost during the war. The booklet was printed in Europe during the Occupation period.
