ARTIFACT: This is a wonderful and rare "Yellow Scorpions" unit history on the United States Army Air Forces 530th Fighter Squadron, 311th Fighter Group, attached to the 10th and later 14th Air Forces. The 530th flew P-51 Mustangs and A-36 Apaches within the China-Burma-India theatre. This book is loaded with black and white pictures and some color illustrations (1st Squadron insignia shown above), has a unit roster and also has a great painted cover.

VINTAGE: Circa post-World War II.

SIZE: 110 pages (some single-sided) with black and white photographs and color illustrations; approximately 11-1/4" in height and 8-3/4" in width and 1" in thickness.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Vinylized cotton cover with painted detail, textured paper, cotton lace.

ATTACHMENT: Three hole-punched cover/pages, lace binding.

MARKINGS: AMERICAN BEAUTY COVER CO. DALLAS, TEXAS 2190 on inside back cover.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army Air Forces collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. CON-PJC-BGEX13 LEGEX3/13 Ret5/13

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The book shows some aging/yellowing (one page has a square-shaped discolored area at its center) and has no writing or tears; some light wear to back of cover.
