This is a rare World War II distinctive insignia for the United States Army Air Forces 57th Fighter Group made in Cairo.
Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/8" in height x 15/16" in width (reunion badge: 3" in length x 2-7/16" in height).
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Brass, enamel (reunion badge: plastic).
ATTACHMENT:Vertical safety-style pin with saddle (safety-style pin and clip on reunion badge).
MARKINGS:None (maker mark on reunion badge, and labeled Charles Sawicki 64).
