Rare Early WWII USAAF 57th Fighter Group IX Fighter Cmnd DI Made in Cairo Egypt

This is a rare World War II distinctive insignia for the United States Army Air Forces 57th Fighter Group made in Cairo. 

Circa World War II.

Approximately 1-1/8" in height x 15/16" in width (reunion badge: 3" in length x 2-7/16" in height).

Brass, enamel (reunion badge: plastic).

Vertical safety-style pin with saddle (safety-style pin and clip on reunion badge).

None (maker mark on reunion badge, and labeled Charles Sawicki 64).

6+ (Fine - Very Fine): The DI has some moderate wear and the enameling has some chips and is worn away in most of the lettering.
