Description
This is a WWII era pin made for a member of the United States Armed Forces who made an emergency parachute jump and who was "Saved for America" by a J.G. Menihan Chute. The pin is rectangular and shows a parachutist jumping past rays of sun and a single star on red, white and blue enamel. Type II, with "J.G. Menihan Chute" company name on reverse. This "Bail Out" pin is akin to those given by the Caterpillar Club.
