Description

ARTIFACT:

Rare WWII Royal Air Force "Bailout" Pin from the G.Q. Parachute Co. on original card. The pin depicts a man and parachute and marked GQ, with very dark red enameled wings. The 'GQ Parachutist badge' was given by the 'Gregory & Quilter Company' to anyone who had completed parachute training using their parachutes, similar to Caterpillar Club.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Silver plated brass with enamel.

ATTACHMENT:

Horizontal pin with come-under "C" clasp.
